2nd Annual Drive Change Day

     In conjunction with Kia Canada, we are pleased to announce our 2nd annual Drive Change Day is this coming Sunday August 19th 2012. Last year we collected donations for our local food bank. This year we are adding a community cleanup to the food drive, and we want you to nominate an area in your community for cleanup.

The cleanup and food drive will take place on

     In addition to the cleanup and food drive there will be a barbecue, activities for the kids and prizes. KX 96 FM will there to do a live remote, and Oshawa This Week will be there to take pictures. Volunteers to help with the cleanup are welcome.

     To nominate the area in your community you would like to see cleaned up, or to volunteer your services on August 19th, send an e-mail to tonyforde@durhamkia.ca Be sure to include your name, address, phone number, the area you are nominating, and whether or not you can volunteer to help with the cleanup. Donations such as garbage bags, work gloves, rakes, shovels etc. will be gladly accepted.

     If you own or work for a company that can assist with items such as trash removal, barbecue goodies or other logistical items we welcome the help. Any company contributing goods and/or services will be recognized on our website and will receive promotional consideration during the live remote.

     Donations for the food bank can be made at the dealership starting Monday July 30th, or at the cleanup site on August 19th. Those attending the barbecue are encouraged to bring a minimum of one non-perishable food item per person in your group.
